Facilities
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has a wide range of state-of-the-art facilities to support its teaching and learning activities. These facilities ensure our staff and students are provided with the resources and infrastructure they need to learn and create new knowledge.

• Computing Services: – The specialist computing services provided in the department are a crucial backbone to its intensive teaching and research programs enabling academics to deliver high value research and teaching outcomes.
• Technical Support Services: – The Department is equipped with an extensive range of specialized manufacturing and technical facilities to support the diversity of teaching and research.
• Teaching Facilities:- The Department has access to a wide range of smart lecture rooms, tutorial rooms and study rooms
• Laboratory Facilities: – Our Laboratories allow Academics, Undergraduates to further their learning and research in a range of very specific disciplines.
The department has excellent laboratory facilities with the following labs:
1. Electrical Machines Lab

• 15 batches (each batch of 3 students) of students can utilize the lab effectively at a time.
• The lab will be utilized by EEE, ECE, ME (B.Tech) Students.
• The machineries in the lab includes,
1. DC shunt, Series and Compound Motors with belt load arrangements
2. Motor – Generator sets (AC & DC)
3. Resistive / Inductive Loads
4. Rectifier (0-250V)
5. Scott Connection Trainer
6. Synchronization Kit

2. Power Electronics Lab

• 10 batches (each batch of 3 students) of students can utilize the lab effectively at a time.
• The lab will be utilized by EEE, ECE (B.Tech) Students.
• The machineries in the lab includes,
1. Electrical Drives with belt load arrangements
2. Power Electronic Conversion Trainers (AC & DC)
3. Resistive / Inductive Loads
4. Choppers & AC Voltage Controllers
5. Power Device Characteristics Trainer
6. Firing & Synchronization Kit
7. DSOs, CROs & Function Generators etc.

3. Electrical Measurements Lab

• 10 batches (each batch of 3 students) of students can utilize the lab effectively at a time.
• The lab will be utilized by EEE, (B.Tech) Students.
• The machineries in the lab includes,
1. Different types of Energy meters
2. Various Current, Voltage & Power Measuring Devices
3. Resistive / Inductive Loads
4. Transducers Like LVDT etc.
5. DC / AC Bridges & Potentiometers
6. Instrument Transformers like CT & PT

4. Control & Simulation Lab

• 10 batches (each batch of 3 students) of students can utilize the lab effectively at a time.
• The lab will be utilized by EEE (B.Tech) Students.
• The machineries in the lab includes,
1. Synchros
2. Servo Motors (AC & DC)
3. Resistive / Inductive Loads
4. Process Control Station

5. Heat Engines Lab

• 5 batches (each batch of 3 students) of students can utilize the lab effectively at a time.
• The lab will be utilized by EEE, ME (B.Tech) Students.
• The machineries in the lab includes,
1. Single Cylinder Petrol / Diesel Engine
2. Multi Cylinder Petrol / Diesel Engine
3. Air Blower
4. Compressor
5. 4 Stroke Engine
6. 2 Stroke Engine

6. Electrical Workshop

• 10 batches (each batch of 3 students) of students can utilize the lab effectively at a time.
• The workshop will be utilized by all B.Tech Students.
• The items in workshop includes,
1. Various Electrical wiring tools
2. Various Protection Devices like ELCB /MCB etc.
3. Resistive / Inductive Loads
4. Workbenches for Conduit wiring
5. Residential / Commercial Installation (demo)

7. Computer Programming Lab
• 20 batches (each batch of 2 students) of students can utilize the lab effectively at a time.
• 34Mbps ILL (1:1) internet connectivity with Windows / Linux
